Jessica among Top 10 girls worldwide with doll-like looks!

Jessica’s doll-like appearance has received international recognition.

Recently, an American blog site ‘oddee.com’ has selected the top 10 females from all over the world with doll-like looks. Other than Jessica, among others who were listed in the top 10 list were model-cum-movie actress Lily Coles, England’s Dakota Rose, Chinese high school student, Wang Jiayun, etc.

Jessica’s hairstyle and perfect side facial profile earned her the recognition from the blog site and thus, a place within the top 10.

Hyoyeon to join MBC’s ‘Dancing With The Stars Season 2′

Hyoyeon will be joining MBC variety program ‘Dancing With The Stars Season 2′, which will kick off its first broadcast on April 27th.

A staff of MBC said, “Hyoyeon’s participation in the program has been confirmed and she has been practicing diligently for it. Hyoyeon’s new appearance on the show can be witnessed soon.”

Among Girls’ Generation members, Hyoyeon is considered as one of the top dancers in the group. As such, the production staff of the program has high expectation as well as anticipation for her. Hyoyeon’s representative said, “As much as the expectation from the people around her, Hyoyeon continues to practice tirelessly. This is an opportunity for Hyoyeon to showcase her various kinds of dances with much more freedom, which is very different from the dances she performed with Girls’ Generation.”

Besides Hyoyeon, singer Tony Ahn will also be participating in this dance sport program. According to the production staff of the program, the first recording, which was held at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park, has been completed on April 15th. The recording on April 15th will be aired on April 27th and the actual live competition broadcast will kick off starting May 4th.

Other than Hyoyeon and Tony Ahn, actor Choi YeoJin and famous sports stars are also expected to make their appearances on ‘Dancing With The Stars Season 2′.

Girls’ Generation’s 1st Japanese single ‘Genie’ certified ‘Platinum’ in Japan

Girls’ Generation’s 1st Japanese Single ‘Genie’ was certified ‘Platinum’ by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for ‘PC Download Singles Division’. According to RIAJ’s certification, any album or single that sells more than 250,000 copies will receive the ‘Platinum’ certification.

‘Genie’, released in September 2010, received its ‘Gold’ certification back in October 2010 and the fact that it has been upgraded to ‘Platinum’ is an indication of Girls’ Generation’s consistent popularity in Japan.

Currently, while Girls’ Generation members are having their individual activities, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun will be releasing a mini album ‘Twinkle’ as sub-unit called ‘TaeTiSeo’ on April 29th.

Lee Joon: I’m too shy to greet Girls’ Generation

MBLAQ’s member Lee Joon revealed his phobia of exchanging greetings with Girls’ Generation.

Lee Joon who participated in the recording of SBS TV’s ‘Strong Heart’ said, “I’m just too shy to greet Girls’ Generation.”

He further elaborated, “If I were to smile while greeting them, I’m afraid that they might think I’m weird. Seeing the reflection of myself in their eyes makes me really shy”, explaining the reasons why he has been avoiding to greet the members of Girls’ Generation.

Tiffany who also participated in the recording of this particular episode of ‘Strong Heart’ said, “Everytime we meet one another on music programs, Lee Joon would avoid eye contacts with us and went out of sight”, confirming the truth of Lee Joon’s confession.

This episode of ‘Strong Heart’ will be aired at 11.15pm KST on April 24th.

Tiffany talks about the stress of airport fashion

Talking about the topic of airport fashion, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany confessed to being stressed about airport fashion.

Tiffany recently participated in the recording of SBS’s ‘Strong Heart’, which will be aired on April 24th at 11pm KST.

During the recording, Tiffany said, “Last time, I used to go to airport without caring so much about what I was wearing. However, as airport fashion becomes quite an issue, I have been paying more attention to it.”

She continued, “On days when I dressed up nicely from head to toe, there were no cameras but strangely, when we came back from our overseas performances, there were many photos of us wearing slippers with no make up on our faces.”

Meanwhile, in addition to Tiffany, this episode of ‘Strong Heart’ features participation by other celebrities such as Ivy, Park KyungLim, Oh YoonA, Lee HyunJin, Lee Joon, Han JiWoo, Kim NaYoung, Sun Woo, announcer Kim Hwan, etc.

Honey Lee revealed her close friendship with Jessica

Actress Lee HaNui (Honey Lee) shared a picture taken with Jessica.

On April 22nd, through her personal Twitter account, Honey Lee tweeted, “I had a delicious lunch with my beloved dongsaengs (younger sisters) at Buona Sera in Shinsadong” and attached a photo along with it.

Judging from her expression and gesture in the photo taken at the restaurant located in Shinsadong, Jessica seems to be very close with Honey Lee. It was believed that the close friendship between the two ladies started ever since Honey Lee’s involvement in musical ‘Legally Blonde’ from the end of 2009 to 2010. Honey Lee made her lead role as ‘Elle Woods’ in the musical, alternating with Jessica and veteran musical actress Kim JiWoo.

Girls’ Generation’s unit, Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo’s mini album ‘Twinkle’ will be released worldwide on April 29th.

The mini album with the title track ‘Twinkle’ will be released first through iTunes at 12am KST on April 29th. Complete with songs of various genres, the mini album ‘Twinkle’ is set to captivate global music fans. The booklet that contains a variety of different pictures, which is expected to be included in the offline album, is also gaining explosive response from fans.

The title song ‘Twinkle’, composed by Jam Factory’s American composers Brandon Fraley, Jamelle Fraley and Javier Solis, is a medium-tempo dance song that boasts the mix of 70s and 80s Stevie Wonder-style and the harmony of modern feeling Funky Soul music genre. Through this song, fans will be able to witness Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo’s new image.

Baek AhYeon, Taeyeon and Tiffany sizzles ‘Kpop Star’ with ‘Lady Marmalade’

Baek AhYeon performed ‘Lady Marmalade’ alongside Taeyeon and Tiffany on SBS ‘Good Sunday – Survival Kpop Star (commonly known as just Kpop Star)’ on April 22nd.

The competition which features a panel of 3 judges from top entertainment companies in Korea – BoA representing SM Entertainment, Park JinYoung for JYP Entertainment and Yang HyunSuk for YG Entertainment, has entered its semi final stage where the top 3 contestants, Baek AhYeon, Park JiMin and Lee HaI showcased their talents alongside the top stars in the industry.

Baek AhYeon hit the stage along with Taeyeon and Tiffany, entertaining viewers and the audience with their own rendition of Christina Aguilera’s Moulin Rouge’s OST ‘Lady Marmalade’. Previously, Taeyeon and Tiffany had also performed ‘Lady Marmalade’ at Girls’ Generation’s ’1st Japan Arena Tour’ and also the ’2011/2012 Girls’ Generation Tour’. During today’s performance, Baek AhYeon, Taeyeon and Tiffany’s explosive high notes and great harmony has captivated the viewers.

Meanwhile, besides Baek AhYeon, Park JiMin performed alongside GD & TOP while Lee HaI had a joint stage with miss A.

Sooyoung and Hyoyeon featured on ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’

Sooyoung and Hyoyeon expressed their thoughts and feelings after attending Shinhwa’s concert.

They were featured on JTBC’s ‘Shinhwa Broadcast – Humans’ Theater’ part 2 aired on 9.55pm KST on April 21st. ‘Humans’ Theatre’ is a documentary that provides a close coverage on the daily lives of Shinhwa members.

On this week’s episode, viewers were treated with coverage on Shinhwa’s concert that took place on March 24th at the Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul Olympic Park. After the concert, Lee MinWoo exchanged greetings with his juniors, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon who came to give their support to Shinhwa.

After that, Sooyoung said, “We basically grew up listening to Shinhwa sunbaenim’s songs. Today, we really had a great time as the memories of the past kept coming back, one after another”. Hyoyeon too showed her support for Shinhwa’s new album by shouting ‘Venus’.
