Hyoyeon becomes the first cover girl of newly-launched beauty fashion book, ’0/1 creativebook (Zero One creativebook)’!
In the first issue of the book, Hyoyeon is the only celebrity selected to model for the fashion book, an indication of her popularity in the fashion world.
Through the pictorials with the themes ‘Independent’ and ‘Renew’, Hyoyeon captures the attention of the people in the fashion industry with her onstage-like dynamic and charismatic appearance as well as her various feminine and attractive charms.
In addition to that, Hyoyeon adapted perfectly to the black costumes, which adds to the overall feel of the pictorials with her expressions and matching poses in each of the photos.
Through the first issue of ’0/1 creativebook’ which will be published soon, Hyoyeon’s new transformation and various appearances can be seen on the cover, as well as 18-page pictorials included in the book.
Meanwhile, there is a great interest towards Hyoyeon’s participation in ‘MAXSTEP’, a song included in the SM Entertainment – Hyundai Motors collaboration album ‘PYL Younique Album’, which will be released on October 31st along with the highly-anticipated music video.
Through its newly launched Twitter account, SMTOWN tweeted about its ‘SMTOWN Celebrity Party’ on October 24th and revealed a few photos of the agency’s artists at the event.
The celebrities who attended the event are SM artists such as Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, SHINee, Super Junior, etc as well as actors and entertainers like Jang DongGun, Kim HaNeul, Kim MinJong and Shin DongYup.
In the photos revealed, Jang DongGun, Kim HaNeul and Shin DongYup who had just joined the SM family recently, seemed to be enjoying themselves alongside the SMTOWN artists.
Netizen who saw the Twitter posts commented, “This looks like an award ceremony”, “Wow, from Jang DongGun to Girls’ Generation.. it’s awesome”, “The agency’s party is really a big-scale one”, etc.

With a little more than two months until the end of the year, music awards ceremonies are getting ready to take place to conclude the year of 2012. First up is the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) on November 30th at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
This upcoming MAMA ceremony, the fourth held annually with the past two in Macau and Singapore, will see the participation of many Kpop artists and it will be streamed live on Globat Mnet. The nominees of this year’s awards was announced at Incheon International Airport earlier today, October 23rd, at 5pm KST.
Girls’ Generation’s subunit trio TaeTiSeo were nominated for three awards, namely Best Female Group, Best Global Group (Female) and Artist of the Year while Taeyeon was nominated for Best OST with her solo song ‘Missing You Like Crazy’, which was included in the soundtrack of ‘The King 2 Hearts’.
Meanwhile, online voting begins today (October 23rd) and will end on November 28th. Vote for your favorite artists in their respective categories here!

A mobile application that enables phone users to shoot CF with YoonA was released recently. As the title ‘Shoot CF with YoonA’ suggests, the application was launched to promote Innisfree’s ‘Forest for Men’ line of products and ‘transforms’ users into the main character to shoot the CF alongside YoonA.
In the application, YoonA dances cutely and transformed into an interviewer as well as a photographer, showing her different kinds of charms. There are a total of three episodes of CFs in the application for users to enjoy – the dance, interview and photographer episodes.
When a user select the version that he/she likes and starts shooting, the ‘direct’ interaction with YoonA gives an impression to the user that he/she is filming the CF on the set. In addition to that, at the end of the CF, YoonA will be spraying the ‘Forest for Men’ Skin Mist, applying the ‘Forest for Men’ Handsome BB Cream and Moisturizing Cream on the user virtually, adding even more fun to the newly-launched application.
On the application, YoonA said, “It’s a pity that I’m not able to meet up with the fans as often due to my busy schedules but through Innisfree’s fun application, I’m happy to be able to interact with domestic and overseas fans. Particularly, through this application, the fans could become the main character of the CFs and I’m really looking forward to see new and interesting videos soon.”
Meanwhile, Innisfree’s ‘Shoot CF With YoonA’ application is available in Apple iOS and Android versions and can be downloaded through the Apple Appstore and Google Play respectively.
Jessica, Hyoyeon and other SM Entertainment artists to participate in Hyundai Motors’ collaboration album!October 16, 2012
An album from the collaboration between SM Entertainment and Hyundai Motors will be released soon. As this is the first time an entertainment company and a domestic motor company are co-producing and releasing albums, the effect of the great synergy between the two companies are expected.
The album, specially produced for Hyundai’s PYL (Premium Younique Lifestyle) customers, will see participation from SM Entertainment artists such as BoA and Jessica, along with Hyoyeon, Super Junior’s EunHyuk, SHINee’s Taemin, Super Junior-M’s Henry, EXO’s Kai and Luhan.
The album consists of three songs of Electronic Pop and Dubstep genres and through these songs, the special characteristics of each cars are being expressed. The songs will be released starting October 16th. The very first song to be introduced is BoA’s ‘Lookin”, an electronic pop song, the theme for the i40 car model. On October 18th, the theme for i30, ‘My Lifestyle’ sung by Jessica will be released.
Meanwhile, more than 1,000 customers have been invited to attend the PYL Younique Show, which will be held at Central City Millennium Hall in Seocho-gu on October 17th at 8pm KST. BoA and Jessica will be attending this event.
10 rock bands picked Girls’ Generation as the best girl group.
Among the bands who recently participated in the ‘Rock Special’ of cable channel MBC Music’s ‘Show Champion’ were Wiretap In My Ears, Pia, Transfixion, Romantic Punch, Windy City, Monni, Super Kid, Daybreak, Gogo Star and Bye Bye Sea. On the show, a poll was conducted among the 10 rock bands to determine the girl group that rock stars love.
From the result of the poll, Girls’ Generation had a landslide victory over other groups with the rockers giving comments such as “Elegant appearances”, “Like true goddesses”, etc as the reasons for their choice. 2NE1 with their own personality in fashion as well as music came in second while f(x) were placed third.
This episode of ‘Show Champion’ will be aired on October 16th at 6pm KST.
Seohyun and TVXQ are featured on the cover of fashion magazine, ‘Ceci’ in 3 countries – Korea Republic, China and Thailand.
The November edition of ‘Ceci’ is available in Korean, Chinese and the newly-launched Thai edition. Seohyun, as well as TVXQ members, U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin were selected as the cover models and they completed the pictorial shoot with the theme ‘Timeless Eternity’.
Adopting the concept from the movie ‘Interview With The Vampire’, the two TVXQ members transformed into vampires with cold and deadly charms. Seohyun, on the other hand, has the image of a tender-hearted and innocent girl. The trio shot the 26-page pictorials with various poses and expressions.
In the revealed cover photo, Seohyun and TVXQ members were holding one another’s hands with mysterious expressions, highlighting their own individual charms at the same time.
This November edition of ‘Ceci’ magazine featuring Seohyun and TVXQ on its cover will be available in Korea from October 15th onwards and subsequently, in China and Thailand.
‘Oh!’ and ‘Girls’ Generation Complete Video Collection’ certified Gold by RIAJ two weeks after release!October 11, 2012
After just two weeks of release, Girls’ Generation’s 5th Japanese single ‘Oh!’ has appeared on the list of singles with Gold certification.
The Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) is given to releases with shipment figures exceeding 100,000 copies and in just two weeks, the 5th single ‘Oh!’, which was released on September 26th, had managed to achieved such amazing feat. Other than the single, the ‘Girls’ Generation Complete Video Collection’, which was released on the same day had also received the Gold certification as well, an indication of the girls’ huge popularity in Japan.
Earlier this year, the first Japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation’, which was released back in June 2011, smashed the 1,000,000 million figure and was certified as a ‘Million’ selling album.
There will be more exciting releases to come this year as the girls’ 6th Japanese single ‘Flower Power’ and 2nd Japanese Album (title yet to be revealed) will be hitting the stores come November 14th and 28th respectively.
