Redstar Presents: When to bring the Pink Ocean?

September 2nd, 2010

Malaysian concert organizer, Redstar Presents are working hard to fulfill the request from Malaysian SONEs to bring Soshi to the country for a fan-meeting session after SM Entertainment declined a proposal from Redstar Presents to add Malaysia to the list of countries hosting the ITNW Asia Tour Concert back in April 2010.

In reply to fanwonder.com’s query on Twitter about the follow-up with SM Entertainment regarding the fan-meeting session in Malaysia, Redstar Presents said:

In Redstar Presents Facebook Page, a new discussion was created entitled,” If we’re going to have SNSD to Malaysia, which month you want us to color it “pink”?”. To this, most SONEs chose between September 2010 to January 2011, indicating that they are really in urgent need of Soshi.

Singapore organizer, Proof Label have confirmed the appearance of SNSD in the Korean Pop Night Concert 2010 and this further sparks interests among Malaysian SONEs to bring the girls to Malaysia. Redstar Presents have gained faith from fans especially after the successful Super Junior “Super Show 2″ back in March this year. A fan expressed faith in Redstar by saying,”Even though SNSD are going to Singapore this October, I shall wait for Redstar to bring them in to Malaysia.”

fanwonder.com is confident that we will be seeing the Pink Ocean in Malaysia very soon. So, don’t forget to come back and check out our updates often!

[UPDATED] SM Town Live 10 coming to Singapore?

August 31st, 2010

This is probably the sentence that got people all hyped up for the past an hour or so. Singapore’s U-Weekly magazine published an article that garnered much attention from fans of SM Town artists (SNSD, Super Junior, f(x), BoA, Trax, SHINee,etc). Here it is:

The article basically says this:

Besides confirming Super Junior’s Super Show 3 which will take place in January next year, local (Singapore) concert organizer, R.I.T.S are in talks with SM Entertainment to bring the SM Town Live 10 Concert to Singapore.

Interesting? It sure is, but do keep in mind that it’s not confirmed yet. At least there’s something to hope for. If it happens, then it will be another good news for South East Asian fans.

UPDATE 1: R.I.T.S denied involvement with SM Town

Ever since the U-Weekly magazine published an article on the possibility of R.I.T.S bringing SM Town Live 10 to Singapore, netizens and fans have shown their great interest in the development of the matter.

However, contrary to what was published by Singapore’s magazine, U-Weekly, R.I.T.S (Running Into The Sun) confirmed that they have no involvement with SM Town via their Twitter http://twitter.com/sgRITS. Most probably they were referring to SM Town Live 10 when they mentioned SM Town in their tweet. Here’s the tweet:

This definitely clears the air. Many would be disappointed but hey, we never know what will happen in the near future, right? Dare to dream! Pray for the best!

Get well, leader!

August 31st, 2010

Taeyeon was spotted wearing glasses during the press conference for “Despicable Me” or “Super Bad” at CGV Theater in Wangshimni on August 30th and everyone thought that she was imitating Margo, her character in the movie.

To this, Taeng clarified,”I didn’t wear glasses today because my character wore glasses. I wore them because I have an infection in my eye.” To prevent further irritation and discomfort, Taeng did not put make up on her right eye, making it smaller than the other one.

About her experience from the movie, of which the leader and maknae, Seohyun did a voice recording of their characters, Margo (Taeyeon) and Edith (Seohyun), Taeyeon said that she has always loved animation and she was grateful to be given the opportunity to be part of the production.

She further added that the most difficult part about the sound recording was to get the timing in sync with the characters. Taeyeon also mentioned that if she were the villain, Gru, she would kidnap Margo, Edith and Agnes and have a great time with the three fun characters.

fanwonder.com prays for speedy recovery to Taeng’s right eye.

Bring it on, S/mileage!

August 31st, 2010

At the recent “Idol Summer Festival 2010” at C.C. Lemon Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo, 15-year old Fukuda Kanon from the group S/mileage publicly challenge SNSD, saying that they have “fresher” legs. I am not sure what she meant by “fresher” but they will soon know that SNSD have more than just pretty legs. Here’s the translation by Kanki of Soshified.com from the original articles:

Idol group S/mileage member Fukuda Kanon (15) threw out a written challenge to 9-member Korean unit SNSD. In an interview Fukuda said with strength and a smile, “SNSD is known as the idols with great legs, but we’re fresher.” “Everyone here, along with our seniors Morning Musume, AKB48 and SNSD are our rivals. But, we have fresh great legs and can’t lose to anyone.” Each member from the other groups just smiled bitterly.

Hmm…written challenge! I admire the young Japanese girl’s courage there. She must have plenty of confidence in her. Confidence is good but they ought to be realistic. Honestly, the written challenge thing reminds me of duels in kung-fu movies. Watched too much of those, dear Kanon?

There are more to just legs. Personality, character, professionalism and variety skills are among the things that our Soshi have. If there were to compare legs, there are many girl groups out there with great legs.

SONEs set to bring Pink Ocean to Taipei Arena

August 30th, 2010

The ticket sales for SNSD’s “Into New World 1st Asia Tour Concert in Taiwan” ended yesterday and the tickets were sold out, in just two and a half hours (accumulative from 2 days). It could have been faster if not for the ticketing site’s downtime for maintenance.

We’ve heard reports about fans being frustrated about the ticketing procedures, but nonetheless, the mighty pink ocean will be there in full turn out to greet our girls when they perform at Taipei Arena on October 16th.

On August 28th, 11,000 tickets were sold out in just within one and a half hour. 1000 tickets were put on sale the next day and it sold better than hot cakes when all 1000 of them were grabbed in just one hour.

TVBS News (Taiwanese media) even reported,”Overwhelming demand to watch SNSD’s concert in Taiwan caused the online ticketing site to crash. Within one and a half hour, all tickets were sold at the ticketing venue.”

It is still unknown if the organizers will be offering additional seats for the concert since there are many Superdome members who failed to get tickets through the online booking. The online booking was initially a privilege for the members but according to SONEs who are members of Superdome, it’s even more difficult to get tickets that lining up as one had to keep trying to get vacant seats and the availability is on first-come-first-serve-basis.

According to a poll on “Which Korean stars would like to see in Taiwan?”, the girls got the majority of votes. Thus, we expect the pink ocean would be as ‘vast’ as the previous two ITNW concerts in Seoul and Shanghai.

2010 Incheon Korean Music Wave

August 29th, 2010

I’m sure you have not seen this version until today. The girls were rehearsing “Oh!” in rain coats for the 2010 Incheon Korean Music Wave and dubbed by some SONEs as “Rain Coat Shi Dae” or “비옷시대”..Lol.

At the end of the rehearsal for “Oh!” the girls used 3 languages to greet their fans – Korean, Japanese and English, if not mistaken. The girls movements which were limited by the rain coats look really cute. You can also see that they were being careful with the slippery stage.

Here’s the fancam of the rehearsals:

The 2010 Incheon Korean Music Wave kicked of at 7.00pm KST at Incheon World Cup Stadium. It was a wet day in Incheon but fortunately the rain stopped before the show began. Tiffany and Yuri were selected as the MC of the event together with MBC Announcer Oh Sangjin.

The girls performed “Oh!” and “Run Devil Run” and greeted the fans warmly, telling them the success of their first showcase at Ariake Coliseum on August 25th. Another highlight of the event is the special stage by the Yongseo couple. The two “We Got Married” couple did a romantic duet and making eye contacts to each other which garners a lot of attention by fans and netizens.

Here are some of the photos from the 2010 Incheon Korean Music Wave:
