SNSD won two awards at KMA

SNSD added two more awards to their trophy shelves by winning KMA Netizen’s Pick: Group Musician of the Year and KMA Song of the Year for ‘Gee’. Tiffany, YoonA and Seohyun were on the stage to receive the trophies.

SNSD performing 'Oh' at the 19th Seoul Music Awards

The Soshis won the Bonsang and Digital Music Award for ‘Gee’ at the 19th Seoul Music Awards at the Seoul Olympic Park Fencing Stadium. The evaluation for songs/abums released from January – December 2009 is based on mobile votes (20%), Sports Seoul popularity (10%), CD and album sales (50%) and jury evaluation (20%). The girls performed ‘Gee’ and ‘Oh’ on the evening, wearing red jacket, white top and hot pants. Taeyeon did not look too well and there was a video clip showing Sooyoung supporting her from behind. I’m not sure if Sooyoung’s supporting her or she was just holding her. From my observation, Taeyeon looks tired and she didn’t seem to be comfortable at all. Hope she’ll get some rest somehow despite her busy schedules.

SNSD grabbed the Daesang for this year’s Seoul Music Awards. As usual, the girls cried and the stage was filled with emotions. You deserved it once again, girls!

SNSD's 'Gee' won the Music Bank Annual K-Chart

Yes!! What a great Christmas gift for SNSD this year. They’ve won so many awards this year (honestly, I lost count) and had a successful start to their 1st Asia Concert Tour. Just an hour ago, SNSD’s Gee won the Annual K-Chart at the KBS Music Bank Year End Special, defeating contenders Super Junior’s ‘Sorry, Sorry’ and 2NE1′s ‘I Don’t Care’. ‘Gee’ topped the Music Bank K-Chart for 9 weeks in a row, which I believe is the longest period ever for a song to stay at the top of the chart so far. Fellow SM Town colleagues, Super Junior and f(x) joined them at the end of the show to celebrate their success and Amber was given the chance to sing the first verse of ‘Gee’. It was really great to see them all in such a joyous mood. Hey, this is all Christmas is all about and winning on Christmas Day is just so sweet. Oh, by the way, did you guys notice Taeyeon’s new hairstyle? Hmm…I personally prefer the previous one. What do you think?

SNSD won 6 awards in 2009 Melon Music Awards

SNSD dominated the 2009 Melon Music Awards by winning 6 awards all together. Sones and Soshis are partying hard tonight. DBSK, 2NE1 and G-Dragon grabbed two awards each. The Soshis couldn’t hold their tears and they hugged each other on stage. Almost made me cry too. They totally deserved it. With the addition of 6 awards, SNSD ended 2009 with a BANG! SNSD received the Digital Daesang Award

SNSD won the Digital Bonsang and the Digital Daesang Awards at the 2009 24th Golden Disk Awards for their single, Gee (The First Mini Album). The SM artistes showed their dominations as Super Junior grabbed 3 awards (Disk Daesang, Disk Bonsang and Popularity Awards), SNSD grabbed 2 awards as mentioned and SHINee took the Popularity Award. Super Junior, SHINee and SNSD paid tribute to the King of Pop by performing Beat It and Smooth Criminal. The power of 9 performed their hits Gee and Chocolate. Looks like Sones all over the world will be partying the whole night!! Woohoooo!!!!! SNSD totally deserved this award! So Nyuh Shi Dae Jjang!!! SNSD performed Genie and Gee today on Music Core Jejudo Special. Here’s the vid of their performance, starting with the girls’ support for the Korean football team who was drawn together with Argentina, Nigeria and Greece for next year’s World Cup in South Africa.
