A piece of good advice from Sunny to Sori

“Do not just focus on working too hard”. That was the advice given by Sunny to G7′s new member, Kim Sori.

On KBS 2TV’s “Invincible Youth” aired on July 16th, Sunny was part of the cast where she reunited with the G7 members in Hokkaido, Japan. Despite the fact that it was the first meeting with Sori, Sunny advised the new G7 member to not just concentrate on working too hard for IY.

According to Sori, Sunny told her that although IY’s concept is about working, it is still a variety show and thus, she has to inject some entertaining elements into it. The advice was well taken by Sori who admitted that she has put too much focus on working and she will work harder to show the viewers her funny side.

Anyone would agree that in the past, Sunny added in so much value to the show with her aegyo, funny dances and her awesome chicken-catching ability. Although Sori may not be able to pull off those acts, we hope that she could deliver something fresh that keeps everyone glued to their TV/computer on every Friday night.

Sori, who is also doing the promotion for her single “Hero” mentioned that before meeting Sunny, she thought that Sunny is someone who is not easy to get along with but that impression totally changed after the two met each other. Sori thinks that Sunny is a cute person with a good character and because of that, the two got close to each other really fast. In addition to that, Sori thinks that meeting Sunny in Japan makes them closer because they get to do things together and they have to depend on each other.

We’d really love to see the two getting closer to each other on the episode aired on July 23rd (KST) but will Hyomin be jealous?

Sunny reunited with G7, Hyomin acting cool.

Yes, we all know that Lee Soongyu’s height is 155 cm +/- 3 cm but she’s not short at all in terms of being a singer, dancer and ….. GAGDOL. Most probably you won’t find this word in the dictionary but it is simply a combination of gag and idol.

Despite the fact that Sunny is no longer a member of G7, she proved that her gagability (another new word…lol) is natural. The G7 met up with Sunny in Hokkaido, Japan and as expected, she entertained everyone, on the set and in front of TV. Hyomin was excited to meet up with Sunny but acted cool at first and later gave in to her own feelings. We know she loves Sunny very much. Here’s a fact for you. Sunny and Hyomin’s birthdays fall on the same month on the same year. Yes, they were born in May, 1989 but Sunny is older by 15 days.

To be honest, Invincible Youth is really a great show, mainly because of Sunny and Yuri. Without them on the show, I’m sort of ‘not motivated’ to watch. Bring them back, KBS 2TV! The good news is that, Sunny will appear again on the episode to be aired on July 23rd.

Sunny and Hyomin reunited!

After 40 days leaving Invincible Youth, Sunny reunited with the casts of KBS 2TV’s “Invincible Youth” again, but this time in Hokkaido, Japan. Sunny and the G7 members had a great time as they spent 3 days and 2 nights together and did some farming activities.

As expected, her best friend, Hyomin teared up upon meeting Sunny. Sunny was glad to be given the opportunity to meet with her G7 friends and make an appearance on IY again. She said this was due to the demand from fans and viewers and she is definitely thankful for all the love and support that she’s getting.

Fans are definitely waiting impatiently for these episodes which will be aired on July 16th and July 23rd. For the mean time, enjoy these photos.

Who's replacing Yuri and Sunny?

It is now certain that Girls’ Generations’ Sunny and Yuri will not be showing up in Yuchi-Ri for the filming of KBS 2TV’s Invincible Youth from June onwards.

On May 14th, KBS staff confirmed in a phone conversation with mydaily that Sunny and Yuri will longer be featured on Invincible Youth starting June due to the fact that Girls’ Generation are set to enter Japanese market and also busy preparing for their First Asia Concert Tour. There have been speculation about their departure from the show since the announcement was made by KBS regarding the change of members, earlier this week.

Regarding the replacements, auditions are being carried out at the moment among girl groups to choose the new G7 members. The staff also confirmed that the rumor about Seonhwa from the group Secret leaving G7 is not true.

KBS Invincible Youth lovers will definitely miss Yuri’s dorkiness and Sunny’s aegyo and her bond with fellow G7 members such as Hyomin, HyunA and Hara. Poor Sunny as she will definitely miss her pet cow, Peureumi and also, poor Kim Tae Woo as he will be missing someone dearly!

Update 1 – HyunA will be leaving too!

According to Kim Ho Sang PD, 4minute’s HyunA will also be leaving Invincible Youth. Sunny, Yuri and HyunA will have their last filming for the show on May 19th. This means that 3 members of G7 will be replaced.

IY line-up to change in June

Apparently, the PD for Invincible Youth said that there is no concept for the new season and the change of 1 or 2 member(s) in G7 will contribute to the change of the atmosphere of the show. The next thing that comes to my mind, and also many of you IY lovers out there, I believe is – WHO? Who’s going to be replaced? Auditions to select the suitable candidate among girl groups have started.

The most unlikely would be the two Soshi – Sunny and Yuri. Taking them out of the show is basically saying bye bye to the good rating of the show. Unless they’re extremely busy with Asian promotion, then I guess it can’t be helped. So, my speculation will be those who will be busy in Japan – Hara (Kara), Hyomin (T-ara) or probably HyunA (4minute). The change will take place in June and the girls basically will be saying goodbye to that 1 or 2 member(s) very soon.

Hopefully, IY will still be as exciting as ever with the change of members. Probably it was a decision forced by situation rather than wanting to give it a “different atmosphere” to the show. I believe there are reasons that cannot be disclosed as it may expose the relevant group’s/groups’ schedule which has to be kept confidential .

Who knows Wonder Girls might be in for a few episodes since they’ll be back in Korea to shoot FO2 next week. Well, that’s just hopeful thoughts.

Sooyoung as part of G7 for one day

SNSD’s member Sooyoung has caught the viewers’ eyes by becoming a “One day G7″ for ‘Invincible Youth’.

In the next episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Invincible Youth’ which will be aired on March 19, Sooyoung has substituted for Yuri, who was diagnosed with H1N1 at the time of filming. Sooyoung has survived the intense welcoming and managed to present big laughs with her unique wit and humor.

In this episode, Sooyoung will show “aegyo that calls for a wooden stick” that will be almost as equal to Sunny’s “aegyo that calls for a punch”.

Sooyoung will especially get the love and attention of ‘Village Chief’ Noh Joohyun and ‘Bear Taewoo’ Kim Taewoo, making the rest of G7 members jealous.

Also, Sooyoung will wear a tearful face while experiencing the ‘Invincible Youth’ style country life, like getting trapped in the chicken coop while moving the chickens for building repair.

However, as she gets used to the lifestyle, she will catch the chickens without hesitation, eventually making a strong appearance as the “One day G7″.

Sunny cried for Peureumi

At the end of Invincible Youth episode 20, there was a short preview of the next episode which will be shown on KBS 2TV at 11.05pm KST on Friday, 12th of March. In that preview, Sunny was tearing up and viewers/fans are eager to know the reason she cried.

As we all know, the cow named Peureumi was supposed to be slaughtered for meat but instead, the G7 decided to keep it and train it as a working cow so that it could participate in crop growing projects. To make Peureumi a working cow, it has to put on a nose ring. Thus, it has to undergo the nose piercing procedure.

SNSD’s Sunny who has the biggest share on Peureumi (51%), developed special attachment to her cow and cried during the nose piercing procedure. I guess her heart was aching when she saw Peureumi in pain and struggling.

Sunny’s back with her heart-melting aegyo again on Invincible Youth, Episode 13 aired on 15th January 2010 on KBS 2TV. Sunny showed her aegyo to a group of soldiers who tried very hard to resist the aegyo attack but deep inside, their hearts melted. It’s good to see her with her aegyo acts again. I love the part where she sang ‘Gee’..lol…She was like “no,no,no,no, no~~~”…lol. Maknae Seohyun would definitely be saying this – “Unnie, you’re doing it again! I’m losing my status as the maknae”. I hope there will be more aegyos to come in the coming episodes of IY.

Yuri's well-known tongue-sticking-out sleeping habit

Netizens have shown interest in Yuri’s sleeping habit after it was being revealed in Invincible Youth episode 12. It seems that Yuri sticks her tongue out when she’s sleeping. All of us have our own sleeping habit. Some bite their teeth, some snores loudly, some with their mouth wide open, etc but Yuri’s is rather one of a kind, I should say. To be honest, I’ve never seen anyone who sticks out his/her tongue while sleeping until last Friday (IY ep.12). However, this is not something new as YoonA did mention about Yuri’s sleeping habit before. Anyway, she looks really cute and adorable with her tongue sticking out and stuff. Sunny, who is known for her aegyo did the impersonation of Sleeping Yuri. I have to admit, those photos cracked me up. I laughed non-stop everytime i look at it and this will probably last for a few days.
