Who is the “Tigress” teacher in SNSD?
September 6, 2010
Ahead of their debut in Japan on September 8th, the girls are learning Japanese and a ‘fearsome’ teacher has appeared among the Soshi and she is none other than maknae Seohyun who has been learning Japanese longer than other members of the group.
Being active in Japan during her younger days and fluent in Japanese, the agency expected Sooyoung to teach the language to her sisters. Her method did not work and in fact turned out to be rather ‘frustrating’(for teacher and the students, I guess..:P). However, unlike Sooyoung, Seohyun “The Tigress” teacher has a very different approach to educate her 8 elder sisters.
SM Entertainment representative said,”Sooyoung told the members that she recommended a “grazing-type” learning method for them. Sooyoung’s idea is basically the learning-from-experience type. Rather, it is the maknae, Seohyun who consistently teaches and checks the girls’ Japanese language.”
SNSD’s upcoming debut in Japan garners a lot of interests from media and they have been featured on various TV programs and daily news coverage.

SNSD bring more than just wave to Japan
August 18, 2010Not only did SNSD help spreading the Kpop and hallyu wave to Japan, they in fact brought a storm to the land of the rising sun. Even before their debut in Japan, SNSD has started their record breaking feat. I guess we are all aware that breaking records is not something new to the girls and fanwonder.com foresees the trend to go on in Japan. This time, they are placed Top 5 in Japanese DVD sales, making SNSD the first Kpop group to ever achieve the feat. This is a report translated by Soshified:
The Korean 9 member group with beautiful legs, SNSD sold 23,000 copies of their first Japanese DVD “SNSD Arrival~Arrival in Japan Commemoration Disc~ New Beginning of Girls’ Generation” in their first week. They will place 4th for total DVD sales on the August 23rd weekly DVD ranking. SNSD is the first Korean female group that has made it into the total (DVD) top 5. Out of people who have entered the top 5 ranking with their 1st DVDs, Korean female artist BoA placed there 7 years and 5 months ago with “8 Films & more”. Foreign female group The 12 Girls (from China) placed in the top 5 with their first DVD “The 12 Girls ~ First Premium Concert in Japan~” 6 years and 7 months ago.
fanwonder.com just can’t wait to hear more record breaking achievements from our girls in Japan! がんばって!!
