Oh! - No.1 song for first half of 2010 on Music Bank K-Chart

This time it’s not the World Cup. In the midst of celebrating Korea Republic’s advance to the Round of 16, I have something else to celebrate. Yes! it’s my 9 girls…my Soshi. We did it again with “Oh!” on Music Bank and this time, taking the #1 spot on K-Chart for first half of 2010.

Today’s Half-Year Music Bank showcased some great performances by our girls,which includes a special dance stage, “Oh!” performance and a cover of Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” by Music Bank Band consisting of Taeyeon and Seohyun (SNSD), Yonghwa (CN Blue), Gyuri and Hara (Kara) , Jinwoon (2AM) and Sungmin (Super Junior), etc.

Taeng looks a bit down and weak during the “Oh!” performance. I wonder what happened because she sang Kelly Clarkson’s song really well and full of energy. Hope she’s ok. Sunny got confused at the end..hehe…but it’s all good (biased, I know ).

SNSD won 2nd K-Chart award for RDR

The episode on April 9th was not aired but again, another good news for SNSD and SONES worldwide. Yes, another K-Chart win for ‘Run Devil Run’. Although there was a major drop in points compared to last week, we are happy that the girls maintained their #1 spot. Let’s see how long they can go on with this record. We know nothing is impossible for these girls. Including this win, SNSD have won 7 Music Bank K-Chart awards and 5 Inkigayo Mutizens this year. Way to go, Soshi!!!

SNSD won first K-Chart with RDR

SNSD won their first #1 spot on KBS Music Bank K-Chart for ‘Run Devil Run’ on April 2nd. The nine girls defeated Kara who took the #1 spot with their hit ‘Lupin’ for the past 3 weeks. This is the 6th K-Chart win for SNSD this year – five for ‘Oh!’ and one for ‘Run Devil Run’. It was another impressive win for the girls as they collected 21,223 points, the 4th highest point on K-Chart history so far. Nonetheless, the girls are still the record holder for the highest point ever collected on K-Chart with 23,077 points recorded on 5th of February for ‘Oh!’.

KBS Music Bank was not aired last Friday (KST) due to the cancellation/postponement of entertainment shows to respect the victims of mysterious explosion which sunk South Korea’s warship Cheonan in March.

I was shocked they did not even make the top 3. Anyway, the velvet outfit is cool. Yuri was gorgeous on Music Bank today and Sunny was really hot and sexyy….rawr! Congrats to YoonA for winning the Popularity Award at Baeksang and Kara for their 3rd K-Chart win for ‘Lupin’.

Black Soshi in White on Music Bank

SNSD appeared in white today and performed ‘Run Devil Run’ for the first time on Music Bank. ‘Oh!’ has dropped to 4th place. There was a bit of confusion on this week’s K-Chart winner when the result screen clearly showed T-ara won but the MCs announced Kara as the winner. Well, the MC got it right as Kara is the actual winner.

Run Devil Run released!

The title is neither ‘Run’ nor ‘Devil’ but a combination of the two…lol…I got fooled.

After the release of its MV teaser on the 16th and Mp3 on the 17th, SNSD will unleash ‘Run Devil Run’ on Music Bank on the 19th. Fanscan finally witness the display of Lisette Bustamante’s masterpiece by the nine sexy, fierce and stunning Black Soshi on stage.

Composed by Busbee(US), Alex James (UK), Kalle Engstrom (Sweden) and a few other composers from around the world, ‘Run Devil Run’ is not only catchy but also injects a whole new feeling of freshness to the girls’ concept. The song was recorded by Kesha as a guide song (demo song) back in 2008 before her debut and therefore, Kesha does not have any rights on the song . Thus, SNSD’s ‘Run Devil Run’ is the first official release of the song and SM has legal rights on it. So, there’s no plagiarism issue here. So, please don’t keep bringing up this issue because it’s ‘no fun no manners’…lol

The full MV of ‘Run Devil Run’ will be released on the 18th of March at 12.00am (KST). Sones and Kpop lovers can expect some very energetic, powerful and sexy dance moves to match the mood of the title track. Netizens will probably be interested in the outfits as well. I am wondering how many different outfits they have for their on stage performance.

This is definitely a chart-topping track and I will not be surprised if it does better than ‘Oh!’. It’s gonna be daebak for sure.

SNSD will be missing this week's KBS Music Bank

I don’t know why but the Soshis are missing this week’s Music Bank. With their absence, can they still secure the 6th win for ‘Oh!’? Well, hopefully they can. I know the points are pretty close among the three girl groups- SNSD, Kara and T-ara. I’ll pray hard for SNSD. Jigeumun SNSD! Aburo do SNSD! Yeon won hi SNSD! SNSD Saranghae! Unfortunately, we won’t be hearing the chants on Music Bank this week.

Congratulation to the girls and I know the girls dedicated the award to Yuri who is resting at home now. Get well soon, Yul!!!! SNSD won by a very small margin and this is the first time their score was below 20,000 points. I have a feeling 6th win is gonna be tough but we’ll see! Performance was great although there were only 8 soshis on stage today.
