'Run Devil Run' on Music Core

SNSD had their first ‘Run Devil Run’ performance on MBC Show! Music Core today in all black. Today’s performance was better than their performance On Music Bank yesterday. Better condition, looks more confident and more energetic (especially Sunny with that awesome high kick). The cameraman did better as well. If you watched their performance yesterday, you’ll know what I mean. On Music Bank yesterday, the cameraman only focused on the upper half of the body during the running part which kinda pissed me off.

The Soshis at Lotte World

It was pre-recorded on Thursday, 4th of March in Korea’s famous indoor theme park, Lotte World. All 9 girls were performing ‘Oh!’ in a skating rink, including Yuri because it took place before she was diagnosed with H1N1. Well, they did something different for the ‘Oh!’ performance though. They incorporated some of Kim Yuna’s moves in their dance routine, noticeably YoonA (the cameraman did a close-up on her, that’s how i noticed). I was actually quite worried for the soshis there as it must be really cold there. Despite the condition, the girls did well. Here’s the video. Enjoy!

SNSD performing 'Star Star Star' and 'Oh' on Music Core

Jjang! SNSD nailed it again. This time with ‘Star Star Star’ or ‘Byul Byul Byul’ on MBC Music Core. Performed on-stage for the first time, the Soshis flaunt their powerful vocals and amazing control. The girls dressed in white and I thought it blended with the atmosphere really well. YoonA’s expression at the beginning of this song was priceless. I guess it’s no big deal for this drama queen. Everyone seems to love this song and I think it will be another big hit. Besides, it’s from E-Tribe. So, the chance of it being a hit is good.

The gloomy and sad atmosphere changed when they performed “Oh!”. Today, they wore pink short sleeve shirt with white hot pants. We’ve seen 5 different costumes so far. Will they be wearing something different for Inkigayo tomorrow? On today’s Music Core, Sones did it again with the chanting. It was amazing. I love the chant at the end of the performance. SNSD's comeback stage on Music Core

SNSD basically set Music Core on fire with Show Show Show, followed by Oh! The atmosphere was great with Sones chanting to Oh! MC Yuri and MC Tiffany kept teasing the viewers with Oh! since the beginning of the show. We all know that Yuri injured her knew while filming ‘Invincible Youth’ and the bandage on her right knee can be clearly seen. However, I thought it blended quite well with the blue cheerleader outfit. I was quite worried for Yuri when I saw her jumping at the end of the performance, as she did in the MV. It must be really painful to jump like that with an injured knee. Sunny’s voice in the beginning was really cute…lol. Overall, I really love their performance on Music Core today and the head mics didn’t affect their singing at all. I was so pissed in the end when the screen just went blank but things like this happen sometimes.

Update 1:

The blank screen today might not be an accident afterall. It’s the attack of the dark soshis.

What happened in MBC about blank screen? Actually it was Dark Soshi who turned the power off. Believe it or not…

Girls' Generation 2nd Album. Title track 'Oh!' set to be released on 28th January

Yipeee!!!! The long wait will be over very soon. On January 28th, 2010, SNSD will be releasing their album title track ‘Oh!’. Will ‘Oh!’ be as big as ‘Gee’ in terms of success and awards this year? The 2nd full album cover has been released today and looks like SNSD’s sporting an 70s retro theme for the new album. Who looks different in the album cover? For me, I think Tiffany looks kinda cool. So, what’s with retro theme anyway? I guess it has something to do with their new songs, maybe? Maybe ‘Oh!’ is a retro style electronic music kind of song…lol. Wonder Girls adopted the 60s retro theme for their ‘Nobody’ single back in 2008, and now it’s SNSD, judging by the album cover. I wonder who’s next on the retro fever list…haha. Anyway, the probable track list has been released. We have seen a few so far but this one seems more promising maybe because it was released today, after they announced the release date of ‘Oh!’. By the way, SNSD’s comeback stage on Music Core is on the 30th of January. I’m not sure whether they’ll be on Music Bank and Inkigayo though. Oh ya, did you guys notice the missing ” ‘ ” for “Girls’ Generation” on the album cover? I hope someone fix that typo before the release of the album.

Update 1:

‘Oh!’ mp3 will be released on 25th January as confirmed on Melon’s site and besides the comeback stage on the 30th January on Music Core, SNSD will be making a comeback at Inkigayo on 31st January and Music Bank on the 5th of February. Oh! teaser and MV shall be released within these few days, I guess . It’s getting more and more excited and I hope my pre-ordered CD will arrive really soon after the official release date which is on the 28th this month!

They give you reasons to smile every time they perform, don’t they? Taeyeon’s hair was one of the few things that caught netizens’ attention since yesterday on KBS Music Bank. I’ve seen many comments about it. it looks ok to me although I personally prefer the previous one (I know I’ve said that like twice already). By the way, I love the opening for Gee, with Jessica’s ‘Happy New Year’ and the fans’ chanting which surprisingly blended in quite well with the song. Seriously, they should consider that as part of the song in the future..lol. I thought the black uniform was nice although i rarely see them perform in it. I’m not sure how many different sets of uniforms they have for Genie but if I get a chance to meet them which is rather impossible, this will definitely be my first question. Speaking about meeting them, I’m so anxious to know where their next concert is going to be. Hopefully, Singapore or Malaysia is on their list so that I can at least stand a chance to look at them in person and if I’m lucky, I might get a paper plane or a paper crane with messages in it…haha. It’s ok…I’ll keep dreaming…hahaha.

Did you guys notice that at 1:31 (Gee video), Taeyeon did 2pm’s ‘Heartbeat’ ? I was so surprise to see that..lol.

SNSD performed Genie and Gee today on Music Core Jejudo Special. Here’s the vid of their performance, starting with the girls’ support for the Korean football team who was drawn together with Argentina, Nigeria and Greece for next year’s World Cup in South Africa. Korea fighting!! SNSD fighting!!! Once again, happy birthday to our black pearl, Kwon Yu Ri!
