Netizens picked Taeyeon as the ‘OST Queen’.

From a survey entitled ‘Queen of Drama OST’ conducted by Monkey3 from May 19th to May 25th, Taeyeon took the no.1 spot while Baek JiYoung came in 2nd.

Out of a total of 740 participants of the survey, Taeyeon garnered 52% (385 votes) and was crowned as the ‘Queen of Drama OST’. Baek JiYoung who took the 2nd spot received 26% of the total votes. Among other singers in the list were IU, who came in 3rd with 7%, Gummy in 4th with 5% and Seo YoungEun in 5th with 4%.

Men’s clothing brand, Galaxy recently conducted a survey on successful men in their 40s to determine the leader of girl groups. After 1st generation girl groups such as SES, Fin.K.L, etc, 2nd generation girl group SNSD receives a lot of love from Korean men.

From the result of the survey, the phrase ‘Soshi Sarang (Love)’ had once again being confirmed. More than half of the successful men in their 40s who participated in the survey cast their votes for SNSD. To be exact, 62.7% of them chose SNSD as the leader of all girl groups.

2NE1 in 2nd with 13.3% while Kara who garnered 10.8% came in 3rd. Brown Eyed Girls grabbed the 4th spot with 6%, followed by After School (2.4%) in 5th and Secret in 6th (2.4%).

Music portal site, Bugs! conducted a survey entitled ‘Idol groups that give out a family-like atmosphere’ from May 10th to 16th involving a total of 5804 participants. From the result of the survey, SNSD who garnered 50% (2846 votes) of that total figure, topped the survey.

Big Bang came in 2nd with 43% (2445 votes), followed by CN Blue in 3rd with 5% (260 votes), 2PM in 4th with 3% (127 votes) and T-ara in 5th with 2% (82 votes).

In conjunction with the ‘Coming Of Age Day’ on May 16th, online shopping mall, PSatSHOP’s shopping counselors, PS Editors conducted an online survey on 100 participants to find out which stars born in 1991 will be receiving most perfume as gifts on that very day. From the result of the survey, Seohyun topped the list with 35 votes.

Kara’s Goo Hara came in 2nd while SHINee’s Minho secured the 3rd spot. Among other stars listed in the survey were MBLAQ’s Mir, After School’s Nana, Kara’s Nicole, 2AM’s JinWoon, Sistar’s Hyorin, etc.

Following the results, PS Editors commented, “We hope that SNSD’s Seohyun, who has a pure and feminine charm as well as other various charms, will start to love the process of adolescence and enjoy the thrill and experiencing the beauty of the 20s age group. Seohyun who is getting more matured and refined, is always warm within and she seems to have a gentle charm in her”.

From a survey entitled ‘The stars you’d like to meet at university festivals’ conducted by a human resource portal site, Incruit on 350 university students, SNSD topped the survey for the 2nd year in a row with 18.3% of the total votes.

Big Bang came in 2nd with 15.7%, followed by IU in 3rd with 14.3%. Other artistes listed in the survey were Psy, 2PM, T-ara, Supreme Team, After School, etc.

Many might not be aware of the extend of SNSD and Kara’s popularity in Japan.

One of Japan’s mobile community site, Recochoku conducted a poll from October 5th to October 19th to find out the ranking of female idols who are being dubbed as goddesses. The poll saw 2,307 participants cast their votes,

On top of the list is Japan’s very own popular girl group AKB48. SNSD came in 3rd place while Kara grabbed the 6th spot. These results have garnered much attention from various parties.

According to Rechocoku, Japan’s ‘mobile generation’ dubbed the Korean female idol groups as “goddesses”. SNSD’s “physical appearances” and Kara’s “butt dance” were identified to be the factor for their popularity in Japan.

SNSD who released their 2nd Japanese Single “Gee” on October 20th had taken Japan by storm on the same day where “Gee” was ranked 2nd on Oricon’s Daily Singles Chart. The girls are currently busy with their promotional activities.

SNSD’s Seohyun has been voted as the female celebrity who has the most attractive chubby cheeks.

Community portal site, “DC Inside” conducted a survey entitled “Who is the female celebrity with the most attractive chubby cheeks?” from September 28th to October 5th. From the poll, Seohyun took the first spot.

In this survey, a total of 9,426 votes were cast and 31.3% or 2,951 participants voted in favor of Seohyun. Seohyun’s fleshy cheek and her pure maknae image are the main reasons for obtaining such a high percentage of votes.

Meanwhile, Wonder Girls’ Sohee took the second spot with 1,069 votes (11.3%). Sohee’s plump cheeks earned her the nickname “mandoo” or “dumpling”. IU who received 1062 votes (11.3%) grabbed the third spot, followed by 2NE1′s Park Bom, actress Shin MinA and f(x)’s Sully.
