Girls’ Generation attends SMTOWN Celebrity Party!

Through its newly launched Twitter account, SMTOWN tweeted about its ‘SMTOWN Celebrity Party’ on October 24th and revealed a few photos of the agency’s artists at the event.

The celebrities who attended the event are SM artists such as Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, SHINee, Super Junior, etc as well as actors and entertainers like Jang DongGun, Kim HaNeul, Kim MinJong and Shin DongYup.


In the photos revealed, Jang DongGun, Kim HaNeul and Shin DongYup who had just joined the SM family recently, seemed to be enjoying themselves alongside the SMTOWN artists.

Netizen who saw the Twitter posts commented, “This looks like an award ceremony”, “Wow, from Jang DongGun to Girls’ Generation.. it’s awesome”, “The agency’s party is really a big-scale one”, etc.

Seohyun and SJ’s Donghae to sing theme song of ’2011 Asia Song Festival’

At Daegu Stadium on October 15th, Seohyun and Super Junior’s Donghae will be singing the theme song of the ’2011 Asia Song Festival’.

The theme song for the ’2011 Asia Song Festival’ entitled ‘Dreams Come True’ which is a masterpiece of famous composer, Jo YoungSoo will be released as digital single on October 11th. The theme song can be easily sung and it contains bright and cheerful melody, which matches well with Seohyun and Donghae’s voices.

Proceeds from the sales will be donated in full through UNICEF to help the children who are suffering in famine-stricken in East African countries like Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Djibouti. The theme song will be performed by Seohyun and Donghae as well as all the participating artistes at the finale of the ’2011 Asia Song Festival’.

Seohyun said, “I think it’s very meaningful to me that I’m able to help children in famine affected regions in East Africa through my talents”. Donghae, on the other hand said, “I’m honored to be able to sing the theme song of ‘Asia Song Festival’ that conveys the message about the dream and hope of not only Asia but also the whole world. I hope many people will enjoy the music and it will be great that we could show our love towards the children who are suffering in the famine affected areas in East Africa”.

Co-organizer of the ’2011 Asia Song Festival’, Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) stated, “We are thankful to Seohyun and Donghae who responded to the love they received from fans around the world by contributing their talents. In the future, their huge contribution on cultural exchange as UNICEF envoys is very much anticipated. Also, together with the top stars from each Asian countries, we hope that ‘Asia Song Festival’ would become a well-known international charity music event in Asia that delivers melody of hope”.

Soshi showed support for Super Junior’s comeback on Music Core

Heartwarming scenes were captured as SNSD went to support Super Junior for their Music Core comeback.

On the 6th of August, Super Junior’s Kim Hee Chul posted on his own twitter account, “Thanks to SNSD dongsaengs who came to support us at Music Core. Right now it’s Girls’ Generation! We are Super Junior!”

Super Junior’s Ye Sung also said, “Our Soshi dongsaengs who came to support us. Our pretties who are so faithful (to friends)~ Thanks!”, as he revealed images of SNSD who went to support them on Music Core.

In the picture, Super Junior’s HeeChul, YeSung, KyuHyun, Lee Teuk and SNSD’s Taeyeon, Sunny, Seohyun and Tiffany stood together with their poses, showing their close relationships.

Besides SNSD, singer Defconn also went to support them, as he made the comment, “When I finished watching their entire performance just now, I greeted the PD and came out. I then congratulated them on their comeback saying, ‘Well done! You all were great! You’re Supermen!’ ”. Song writer Joo Young-Hoon, too, supported them by saying “I just downloaded the entire Super Junior new album, Hyung is a nice person, right?”.

Who’s coming over to play?

After making a history by performing at Europe’s first ‘SM Town Live World Tour’ concert in Paris, The girls made a brief stop back in Korea on June 15th and boarded a plane to Japan through Gimpo Airport this evening (June 16th). The girls are set to resume their ’1st Japan Arena Tour’ at the National Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo on June 17th and 18th.

After that, the girls will have a week’s break before attending the 2011 MTV VMAJ on June 25th where they are in contention for awards in 3 categories. However, before heading to the prestigious event, 4 Soshi members will be recording MBC’s variety program ‘Yoo JaeSuk and Kim WonHee’s Come To Play’, which means, they will be flying back to Seoul again.

On June 16th, a production staff of ‘Come To Play’ said, “On June 22nd, there will be a recording session with SM Entertainment artistes at Ilsan MBC Dream Center for the Korean Wave Special Edition of MBC ‘Yoo JaeSuk and Kim WonHee’s Come To Play’”.

According to the staff, a total of 12 artistes from SM Entertainment are expected to appear on this special episode. They are TVXQ, 4 members from Super Junior, 4 members from SNSD and 2 members from f(x). Besides the grand appearances on the show, this is also the first time SM Entertainment artistes appear on such talk show together.

‘Come To Play’ Korean Wave Special featuring SM Entertainment artistes is expected to receive great response from viewers all around the world.

Brazilian viewers love SM artistes

On Brazil’s Rede TV aired on February 26th, the result of the survey entitled ‘If there’s Kpop artiste coming over to perform, who would it be?‘ was announced.

From the result, Super Junior, BoA, SNSD and SHINee took the top 4 spots, proving once again the domination of SM artistes. Super Junior garnered huge support from the Brazilian viewers with 30.9% while BoA came in 2nd with 27.47%. SNSD received 19.87% of the total votes and they were ranked 3rd in the survey.

Dino Yul gave the deepest impression to Eunhyuk

On KBS 2TV’s “Night Star” which will be aired at 11.15pm KST on November 28th, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and SNSD members talked about their first impressions of one another.

Hyoyeon said, “During trainee days, I was really nervous when I first met Eunhyuk. He would greet me in an honorific manner when we met at the rehearsal room”.

Euhnyuk explained, “SNSD gave me a strong impression, especially Yuri who made the dinosaur-like noises during her pre-debut days” He also mentioned that before debut, the trainees would have to prepare for their personal repertoires every week and it involved singing and dancing. Eunhyuk added, “Yuri then made an impersonation of ‘dinosaur voice’ by mistake on one of the entertainment programs”.

Upon hearing that, YoonA revealed, “At that time, besides the dinosaur-like noise, Yuri also did other weird impersonations as well”. Yuri then was asked to reenact those weird and wacky impersonations.

Sooyoung looks like a Barbie doll to Eunhyuk

Before debut, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk confessed that he was once attracted to Sooyoung, particularly because of her smartness.

On KBS 2TV’s “Night Star” which will be aired on November 28th at 11.15pm KST, Eunhyuk who appeared on the show as an MC revealed that he was very close to Sooyoung since their pre-debut days.

In their trainee days, Eunhyuk and Sooyoung often went to the board game room together for some games. Eunhyuk said, “Sooyoung liked me a little then”. Upon hearing that, Sooyoung jokingly explained, “Actually, I liked the game then, not Eunhyuk”.

Eunhyuk revealed that he first saw Sooyoung during her profile photoshoot. He added, “Back then, Sooyoung with her long straight hair was the prettiest and she stood out from the rest of SNSD members. She was very pretty, as pretty as a barbie doll”.

In reply to a question from the MCs, Eunhyuk replied, “Even now, among SNSD members, Sooyoung is still the prettiest”, showing his sincerity and impression towards Sooyoung.

Recently, SNSD appeared as guests on Leeteuk and Eunhyuk’s radio program, KBS 2FM “Super Junior Kiss The Radio” and the pictures taken their lovely look and fun atmosphere in the studio.

SNSD who usually look like goodesses on stage with their attractive and classy costumes, dressed in casual street wears for the radio show. However, despite their simple clothings, the girls look as stunning, beautiful and charming as usual. Netizens who saw the photos expressed were envious of the girls’ natural beauty.

“Hut” MV to be revealed on October 28th, features SuJu’s Siwon

The much anticipated MV of SNSD’s 3rd mini album title track “Hut” will be revealed on October 28th.

The MV which will be released via SM Entertainment’s official YouTube channel, was filmed at Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. In the MV, SNSD members highlight their fashionable and lovely charms. In addition to that, the MV which involved participation by film director, Jang Jaehyuk also features special appearance by Super Junior’s Choi Siwon.

SM Entertainment’s representative said, “The teaser MV was released on October 24th and after only 2 days, there was a hot response for the teaser where it received more than 1 million views. With the popularity of the song, the music video is expected to receive an explosive response from fans”.
