Football star, ‘Oxygen Tank’ Park JiSung picked YoonA in a ‘Girl Group Ideal World Cup’.

On SBS Happy Sunday – Running Man aired on June 3rd, Park JiSung became the MC for the race in order to choose players to participate in the ’2012 Asian Dream Cup’.

In this episode, before the actual race took place, the Running Man members threw a welcome party for Park JiSung who was about to make his MC-ing debut. While giving the newly debuted MC Park JiSung a warm welcome, the members continued to tease him. Park JiSung who received the jokes well and countered them smartly has proven that he also has great variety skills.

After that, he was asked to play the ‘Girl Group Ideal World Cup’ of which he picked Girls’ Generation, miss A, Wonder Girls and Kara as the contenders. In the end, Park JiSung picked Girls’ Generation as the winner.

Following his choice of girl group, the members of Running Man said, “Please choose a member in Girls’ Generation”. Feeling a little shy, Park JiSung eventually chose YoonA and sent her a video message saying, “YoonA-ya, as Oppa is having a break now, could you spare a bit of time?”. Following the message, round pinkish marks illustrating Park JiSung’s blushing cheeks were shown, much to the amusement of the viewers.

Meanwhile, this episode of Running Man featured footages of actions from ’2012 Asian Dream Cup’ held in Thailand.

On online community site ‘DC Inside’, a poll entitled ‘Who is the innocent female star that reminds a person of his first love?’ was carried out from May 22nd to May 29th. Out of a total of 14,711 votes cast, YoonA topped the poll, garnering 6,278 votes (42.7%). Recently completed the filming of KBS 2TV’s ‘Love Rain’ where she played both the neat and tidy beauty Kim YoonHee as well as the lively and cheerful Jung HaNa, YoonA displayed her very own unique charm in the Monday-Tuesday drama.

Actress Han HyoJoo took the no.2 spot with 4,219 votes (28.7%) while actress Han JiMin came in 3rd with 1,271 votes (8.6%), followed by actress Moon GeunYoung, miss A’s Suzy, actress Han GaIn, etc.

YoonA expressed her gratitude towards the staff of ‘Love Rain’ through a meaningful gift.

On May 29th, a post entitled ‘YoonA’s gift in conjunction with the last filming’ with photos attached was published on an online community board.

In the photos revealed, the gifts were presented by YoonA to the staff of ‘Love Rain’ at the final shooting of the Monday-Tuesday drama. Along with the gift, YoonA also conveyed her gratitude through a message that reads, “All this while, thank you to every staff of ‘Love Rain’. Take this vitamin and stay strong always. Fighting!”. Jang GeunSuk who acted alongside YoonA in the drama also presented T-shirts to the staff as a sign of gratitude for their hard work.

Upon seeing the photos, netizens commented, “As pretty as her face, she has a kind heart as well”, “Both YoonA and the staff have all done well”, “Last time, I think she used to write messages to thank the staff at the end of drama filming too”, “How would the ending of ‘Love Rain’ turn out to be?”.

YoonA’s actual past photos made an appearance on KBS 2TV’S drama ‘Love Rain’ which was aired on May 28th.

In this episode, ahead of her eye surgery, Kim YoonHee (played by Lee MiSook) flipped through a photo album with pictures of her daughter Jung HaNa (played by YoonA) when she was still a child.

Filled with the fear of losing her eyesight, Kim YoonHee who was looking at the photos of her daughter said, “I will keep all these in my mind. I’ll be missing all these a lot”. During this sad scene, the pictures in the photo album caught the attention of the viewers. These photos of ‘Little Jung HaNa’ were actually the real photos of YoonA when she was still a child. The photos served as proof that YoonA is indeed a ‘Motaeminyeo’, which literally means that she is a beauty since she was still in her mother’s womb.

Meanwhile, the final episode (Episode 20) of KBS 2TV ‘Love Rain’ will be aired on May 29th.

On May 11th, Girls’ Generation-TTS’s ‘Twinkle’, released worldwide on April 29th, brought home its first KBS ‘Music Bank K-Chart’ win with a considerable lead over Sistar’s ‘Alone’. This also marked the third win in a winning streak for ‘Twinkle’ after MBC’s ‘Show Champion’ and Mnet’s ‘M!Countdown’ on Tuesday and Thursday respectively.

As always, the girls continued to amaze with their powerful vocals, synchronized dances and brilliant outfits in their ‘Twinkle’ performance. Meanwhile, fellow Girls’ Generation member Yoona showed up in her ‘Love Rain’ outfit during the encore stage to show her support for the TTS members and their close relationships were evident as they shared hugs and congratulated one another. The girls also invited their juniors EXO-K to stay on stage to celebrate with them for the win.

Taeyeon revealed that she recently bought a house for her parents as gift.

On KBS 2TV’s ‘Happy Together 3′ aired on May 10th, in reply to the MCs’ question, “Why did you make you parents cry?”, Taeyeon said, “Those were tears of joy”. Taeyeon collected the money she earned through Girls’ Generation’s activities and bought a house for her parents recently.

Further to Taeyeon’s reply, Park MyungSoo asked, “How many toilets are there?”. Much to everyone’s surprise, Taeyeon revealed that the house she bought has 3 toilets.

Along with Taeyeon, Jessica and Tiffany were also part of the guest lineup, with YoonA making a surprise appearance on this entertaining episode.

Ahead of TaeTiSeo’s promotional activity for their mini album ‘Twinkle’, Tiffany made an appearance on SBS ‘Strong Heart’ aired on May 1st.

On this episode of ‘Strong Heart’, in reply to the question, “Among Girls’ Generation members, who earns the most?”, Tiffany said, “As YoonA is involved with a lot of  individual activities like advertisements and dramas, I think she earns the most among us”.

Tiffany then added, “This time around, I will be involved in the promotional activities of Girls’ Generation’s 3-member unit, TaeTiSeo. So, I’m looking forward to see how it goes”, drawing laughters from everyone in the studio.

Yoona revealed her group members’ reactions after seeing her kiss scene with Jang Geun Suk in ‘Love Rain’.

On April 27th, during a recording of the Monday-Tuesday KBS 2TV drama ‘Love Rain’, which was held in Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, an on-location interview was conducted with the ‘Love Rain’ cast. Yoona was asked, “What is the reaction of the Girls’ Generation members after seeing you in the drama ‘Love Rain’?”

Yoona replied, “Not long ago there was a kiss scene with Jang Geun Suk, and after seeing that, the members were all shocked saying that the kiss was too deep”. She carried on, “I was also shocked after seeing it too. It didn’t seem so bad at the time when we were filming it, but actually seeing it on screen was quite different. It was quite deep.”

She also added, “At the time of filming the kiss scene, because Jang Geun Suk’s character was a playboy, it was his responsibility to ‘lead’ the kiss. This scene would have been harder and more embarrassing for Jang Geun Suk than me. All I had to do was stand still and get kissed.”

Yoona also talked about the kiss scene between Yuri and Lee Jae Hoon on SBS’s drama ‘Fashion King’ and how it caused a fun argument at the dorm. “Yuri and I would argue whose kiss scene was ‘deeper’. But in the end, the other members would just close the argument with “both of your kiss scenes were extreme”.”

Meanwhile, in the drama ‘Love Rain’, Yoona plays the character of a modern day girl of 2012 called Jung Hana, as well as a character based in the 70s called Kim Yoon Hee.
